At XXL, we’re on an exciting journey to strengthen our digital core – and we’re now looking for a strategic, hands-on and forward-thinking VP of Data Platform & Integrations to join our team.

Your mission:

As our new VP, you’ll manage and mentor a highly skilled team of data and
integration engineers. You’ll be responsible for designing, building and evolving
our data platform – ensuring robust, scalable and secure integrations that
support all areas of our business. From data flow design and architecture to
operational monitoring and optimization, you’ll play a critical role in helping
XXL break silos and unleash the power of data.

What you’ll do:

✔️ Manage and coach a team of integration and data engineers
✔️ Design and optimize data architecture, pipelines and APIs
✔️ Build scalable, secure and observable data flows across systems
✔️ Ensure compliance with privacy and security (e.g. GDPR)
✔️ Take ownership of Azure cost optimization and platform performance
✔️ Align business needs with technical strategy through close stakeholder
collaboration
✔️ Stay on top of the latest in Azure, AWS, and emerging technologies
✔️ Promote a DevOps and CI/CD mindset
✔️ Drive documentation, quality and knowledge sharing
✔️ Be hands-on – we want you close to the tech

What we’re looking for:

5+ years in a similar senior integration/data platform role
Experience with Azure (ADF, DevOps, etc.), data warehousing (e.g.
Snowflake, Redshift)
Solid programming skills (C#, Python, Node.js, SQL/NoSQL)
Strong knowledge of API design, ESB, messaging, REST, JSON, etc.
Security-focused mindset and experience with encryption/auth protocols
IaC skills (Terraform or similar), Git and modern versioning workflows
Experience leading and mentoring development teams
Fluent in English

Nice to have: Managerial experience, Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, Apache Spark, business case
modelling

The digital initiative has been ongoing for several years, and as a continuation of this, we are looking for a VP Data Platform & Integrations to join our Digital Commerce Platform in Stockholm. 

The role will be located at our head office in Stockholm Bromma and reports to VP Digital Commerce Platform
